Recover Your Account Password

This article goes over how to reset your Teachable school account's password for. You have two options for resetting your school's password: resetting your password from your school or resetting your password from Teachable.com

Reset Your Password From Your School

  1. Navigate to your school URL in your preferred web browser (e.g. http://yourdomain.teachable.com or https://yourcustomdomain.com) and click Log in in the upper right-hand corner.student_view_login.png
  2. Click the Forgot password? button underneath the login area. student-view-login_to_account.png
  3. Enter the email address used to log in to your account. Then, click the Send me instructions button.

  4. After you click the button, you should see this notification:reset_notification.png
  5. Click the Change my Password URL in the email. You'll be taken to a page on the Teachable website instructing you to change your password.Inbox__134_messages_.png
  6. Follow the instructions, retyping a new password twice. Click the Reset Password button.

Afterward, you should be taken into your school. However, if you aren't immediately logged in, make sure your browser isn't trying to access an existing login cooke or saved password application (e.g. 1password, LastPass, etc.). You can do this by opening the reset link in a private or incognito window and/or temporarily turning off automatic login applications on your computer.

Reset a Password From Teachable.com

  1. Go to teachable.com and click Log in in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click the Forgot your password? link underneath the login area. forgot password
  3. A new pop-up window will appear. Enter your email address and click the Send me instructions button. reset password
  4. After submitting your email address, you should see this notification: teachable-forgot_your_password-notification.png
  5. When the email arrives, it will have the subject line Teachable Reset Password Instructions.
  6. Click the Change my Password button inside the email."change
  7. You will then be taken to a change password screen. Type in your new password twice. Click the Change My Password button.reset password

Afterward, you should be taken into your school.
