Enabling Notifications

This article shows how you can enable email notifications for your school, and customize them to notify you when certain events occur.

Locating the Notifications Setting

  1. Log into your Teachable school.
  2. Click Settings in the admin sidebar.
  3. Select Notifications from the submenu. admin_settings_notifications.png
  4. Inside the notifications area, you’ll find Student Notifications, Subscription Notifications, and Comment Notifications.

Types of Notifications

Enrollment Notifications

Receive an email when:

  • A student joins your school
  • A student enrolls in a paid course
  • A student enrolls in a free course

Subscription Notifications

Receive an email when:

  • A student’s billing fails or a subscription is cancelled due to non-payment
  • A student cancels their subscription to one of your courses

Comment Notifications

Control the emails received based on comments occurring in your lectures. Receive an email when a new comment is posted:

  • That needs moderation
  • On one of your courses
  • In a thread you've commented in

Or, when someone replies to one of your comments.
