How do I manage my categories on my product catalog?

Categories help organize your Browse Products page by grouping similar offerings together—this guide covers how they display, how to manage them, and how to share hidden categories.

How do categories display?

The Browse Products page displays a maximum of 10 categories at a time.
Only one category can be selected at a time—when selected, students will see all courses tagged with that category.

Categories are displayed in chronological order, meaning the oldest categories appear first by default.

To update the name or visibility of your categories, please navigate to Site > Navigation and scroll down to Categories

Sharing hidden categories 

You can share a category’s URL even if it's hidden from public view. To do this, simply toggle off the category’s visibility in your settings. This will prevent the category from appearing on your product catalog, but it will still be accessible via a direct link.

To share the category, use the following URL format: https://[yourschool].teachable.com/l/products?courseCategory=[categoryname]

Anyone with the link will be able to access the category and its products, as long as the products themselves are published and visible.
