Why is my course closed for enrollment?

Fix visibility and enrollment issues for your Teachable course.

Updated over a month ago

If your course is showing as closed for enrollment or is unavailable to students, there are a few settings worth checking. This article walks through the most common reasons your course may be hidden or restricted.

How to fix a course closed for enrollment

1. Check if the product is published

If your product is not published, it cannot be purchased and will appear as closed for enrollment. Your course must be published to be visible or buyable.

2. Confirm product visibility settings

Your product visibility settings control whether your course appears on your site and is open for enrollment.

3. Make sure your school is online

If your school is offline, your courses won't appear on your siteβ€”even if they’re published.

4. Verify your pricing plan

Your course needs at least one pricing plan in order to be available for purchase.

5. Add a pricing block to your sales page

To let students enroll, you must select a pricing plan and display it in the pricing block on your course sales page.

6. Check for enrollment caps

If your course uses an enrollment cap, it will close automatically once the limit is reached.
