Overview
Dashboard links let you add custom shortcuts to your Student Dashboard, helping students easily access important pages, communities, or external resources.
You can create two types of links: featured and simple. Each type offers a different layout depending on how you want your content displayed.

How to use dashboard links
Navigate to the dashboard links editor
Go to Site > Student experience.
Scroll to the Dashboard links section.
Choose your link type
You can add either featured links or simple links:
Featured links are richer, with space for a headline, subtitle, and button to highlight anything you choose.
Simple links display a headline and a clean, easy-to-read link list — ideal for sharing multiple resources at once.
Adding a featured link
Click Add a Featured link under the Featured links section.
Add up to 3 featured links.
Customize each field:
Headline: Up to 40 characters
Subtitle: Up to 120 characters
Button text: Up to 24 characters
Button URL: Must be a valid URL
Click Save.
To preview your link, click Preview dashboard at the top right of the page.
Tip: Use featured links to promote your most important content, such as community spaces, 1-on-1 calls, or affiliate programs.
Adding a simple link
Click Add a Simple link under the Simple links section.
Add up to 10 simple links.
Customize each field:
Label: Up to 24 characters
Button URL: Must be a valid URL
Click Save.
To preview your link, click Preview dashboard at the top right of the page.
Note: Simple links are best for sharing quick resources like FAQs, contact forms, or external tools.
Editing or deleting a link
You can modify or remove any existing link at any time.
To edit a link, click the Edit button next to it and update the details.
To delete a link, click the trash icon and confirm your choice in the popup.
Important: Deleting a link is permanent. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Reordering your links
You can reorder links within their type to control display order on the dashboard.
Click and drag the grabber icon to the left of any link.
Drop the link in your desired position.
Important: You can only reorder links within the same link type (featured or simple).
FAQs
Can I mix featured and simple links in one section?
No. Featured and simple links display in separate sections on the Student Dashboard.
How many links can I add in total?
You can add up to 3 featured links and 10 simple links.
How do I preview my dashboard changes?
Click Preview dashboard in the top-right corner of your screen to see how your links will appear to students.
