Overview

A Pinterest Tag is a snippet of code that tracks the activity of a user within your school. If you're using ads, having a tag allows you to collect data on how your ads are performing, and then use that data to optimize the conversion rate.

Once you enable Teachable's native Pinterest Tag integration, it'll automatically track the activity of a user from the Pinterest ad, as well as actions taken within your Teachable school.

CAUTION: The use of tracking code may affect whether your school meets privacy and data consent standards under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. We recommend consulting a legal professional before adding tracking code in your school.

Creating a Pinterest Tag

In order to use Teachable's native integration, you'll need to have a school on a paid plan, a Pinterest Business account, and an existing Pinterest tag. For more detailed information on how to create a tag, we recommend taking a look at Pinterest's help articles on setting up a tag.

Once you've created your Pinterest tag, you'll need your Pinterest Tag ID to use Teachable's integration:

Testing your Pinterest Tag

After adding your tag, you may want to test it to make sure it's working. To do so, we recommend reviewing Pinterest's Help Center article. Additionally, you can install the Pinterest Tag Helper Chrome Extension

NOTE: If your tag is not tracking events as intended, it is possible your analytics are affected by third-party privacy regulations and features, such as Apple’s iOS14 software update. For more general information on tracking analytics, privacy, and Teachable, please review our FAQ.

Uninstall the tag

If you would like to stop using your Pinterest Tag on your Teachable school, you can disable the integration at any time.

To do so:

  2. Click the Pinterest Tag icon to open the integration.
  3. Click the Uninstall button in the top right corner of the page.
