Emails

This article goes over the tools available in the Emails section of the school admin area.

From the Emails tab, you can send emails to users in your school, view the history of emails sent from your school, edit the templates of automated emails, and set notification preferences for emails sent to your students.

Email Users

Send custom emails to your students and view the history of both custom and automated emails sent from your school. See Email Users for more.

Email Notifications

Turn on or off automated email notifications sent to school admins and students. See Email Notifications for more.

Note: For schools on Teachable Payments, subscription-related emails — including payment failure notifications, renewal reminders, free trial reminders, and upcoming payment expiry emails — are sent directly by Stripe, not by Teachable. These emails cannot be customized or disabled from the Teachable Emails settings. Your students will receive them automatically as long as they have an active subscription.

Email Opt-in / Opt-out

Email Template Editor

Customize and adjust the emails sent to your students using the email template editor. See Email Templates for more.

Abandoned Cart (Coming soon)

Automatically follow up with potential students who entered their email at checkout but didn't complete their purchase.

Note: Under the new Stripe-Powered Student Checkout, a student's email is captured in the first step of checkout. Abandoned cart emails will trigger if the student enters their email but doesn't complete the payment step.
